Power Analysis

Strategic and Operations Planning
Power Analysis is equipped to work with our clients to design an information technology architecture and strategy to carry them well into the future. With the decreasing cost of computer and networking hardware, we understand that our client's investment lies largely in the software. We specialize in Open Systems environments; where you are not tied to any one hardware vendor's platform.

Feasibility Studies
Prior to the commitment of resources to a project, a client may want to determine if it makes sense to embark upon a project; is the technology available; is it cost effective? Are we doing the right thing? These are some of the questions that can be answered in a technical feasibility study.

Power Analysis works closely with our clients to fully understand their business needs and strategic direction. We conduct a high-level requirements analysis, survey the technical market place, and perform a cost-benefit analysis, to determine if the project is feasible. Before proposing a solution, we carefully evaluate the alternatives, taking into consideration both fiscal and business factors. We help in the creation of an organizational structure, which will deploy resources to successfully carry out its competitive strategy.

Requirements Analysis
Power Analysis teams with client management, technical staff and users to accurately determine system requirements for all levels. Depending upon the project, we utilize prototyping methodologies, and/or process flow diagrams to accurately capture the requirements of the system. We have found that most of the problems with a system arise from a miscommunication of needs between the users and the designers. Prototyping and process flow diagrams are essential to allow users to visualize the complete system and easily articulate their requirements. As the saying goes, "A picture is worth 1000 words."

Our software development requirements' documents are comprehensive. They define input and output specifications along with the data model. Once completed, the requirements can be used to produce the completed software application. In addition, Power Analysis can be engaged to act as an independent advisor, working for the client's benefit, to develop the requirements for a project, write the RFP and evaluate the responses.

Project Management
Effective project management is key to a successful implementation that is on-time and within budget. We begin with a well-defined project scope that doesn't overlook key deliverables. Power Analysis project managers maintain close operating contact with our clients and project team members. Utilizing proven methodologies and project management software like Microsoft Project; we can manage all aspects of your project as well as coordinate all vendors that are involved. Project status meetings and quality control reviews are held on a regular basis to ensure project continuity and to minimize risks. We provide the simplicity and stability of a single point of contact for an entire project. Our objective is for our clients to enjoy a hassle-free implementation.
